The same misunderstanding went through the list a week or two ago:
You say the form is giving inconsistent results
I say you have two forms each of which is giving consistent
results but that disagrees with the other.
Your server doesn't seem to support method="post". At least, that's the
only difference I've spotted between them in a visual scan of the sources.
I bit the bullet, took a local copy of your search page and changed it
from "post" to "get" and it works just fine.
