Greetings
Despite the help of
Mindspring, I am having the following problem with my recently installed htdig
search engine.
When I initially
installed the search engine (12/19/01) it ran great and found everything I was
looking for. It indexed all 76 pages of the site. (www.ronaldshouse.com)
However, in the
following hours, I added three pages to my site. All of them template copies of
the original 76, with applicable modifications to text, etc.
(ronaldshouse.com/thanks/testing/index.htm, ***/thanks/mindspring/index.htm, and
***/thanks/triumphweb/index.htm)
Now, htdig will not
find these pages, despite
- running rundig
several times.
- deleting all htdig
directories and files from my web space and reinstalling htdig,
- several help calls
well-attended by Mindspring (888-web-1997)
They're
stumped!
We can't even go
back in time and start from scratch...
rundig simply
doesn't want to index past the original 76 documents.
Incidentally, on
another site I manage (travisroy.org - my initial investigations are turning up
the same problem) These are both on Mindspring.
Any
suggestions?
Jeff Newland, JD
