First off, your computer's date is rather incorrect, unless the e-mail took from March 11 until May 9th to reach the htdig-general-admin mailbox. Secondly, the htdig-general-admin address is *not* the appropriate place for messages that should go to the list and the -admin mailbox is only checked sparingly.
If you're finding results when running htsearch from the command-line, then you definitely have databases, so you're probably looking in the wrong directory. Running "locate db.words.db" may point you in the right direction.
