Thanks Geoff.

The RedHat change logs are not clear. I'll revert to the previous RedHat
RPM and see if it works again. I should add that as part of the RedHat
upgrade, I am also running a new subversion of Apache 1.3. However, I can
still supply the authentication fine through my browser.

It is also interesting that when I add enough -v's to htdig to show the
actual username and password sent, it is correct. It only appears mangled
when I check the apache logs.

Unfortunately, these aren't entirely meaningful version numbers. I'm
assuming the latter means the 011302 snapshot, but I don't know what the
first one would be.

I'll reiterate... If you're using ht://Dig in a production environment,
we still recommend using 3.1.6. We're happy that people are willing to
test 3.2.0b4 snapshots, but there are certainly bugs and it will
probably be a bit "bumpy" before 3.2.0 comes out as two more major
changes are still in progress.

This does sound like a bug. But since I don't know what "0.71"
corresponds to, it'll be hard to figure out what change caused the
problem. Does the older RPM say something in the RedHat ChangeLog about
which version it corresponds to?

Thanks,
