I want to use something like htdig to index html doc pages on my local computer running Debian Woody.
After installing the htdig package, htdig.conf has "start_url: http://localhost/", but when I run "htdig -v" I get the "Unable to build connection with localhost:80" error. Similarly with "start_url: http://localhost/usr/doc/qt-doc/doc/html/index.html". But if I change the start_url to "http://www.htdig.org", it works fine but that's not what I want. Do I have to have a web server running for htdig to access my local files? Also the debian package I installed does not include htsearch. although it does include its man page. Has that been replaced by ...? Thanks, B.L. _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm _______________________________________________ htdig-general mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, send a message to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> with a subject of unsubscribe FAQ: http://htdig.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html
