If you want to rename the hostname during the dig (i.e. before the documents are fetched), then I'd recommend using server_aliases instead. E.g.: server_aliases: new.mysite.org:80=www.mysite.org:80 However, both server_aliases and url_rewrite_rules are processed after the URL is checked against limit_urls_to and exclude_urls, so you'd need to include both the "before" and "after" host names in these latter two attributes. -- Gilles R.
