L.S. As a new user of htdig I recently installed it on HP-UX 10.20. That seems to work fine. Now I'm trying to get it installed on HP-UX 11.0. I installed gcc 3.1 (which installs in /usr/local in stead of /opt/gcc on UX10). After extracting the tar file, I run configure. The output of configure ends with: ... ... checking for ostream.h... no checking for iostream.h... no checking for fstream.h... no configure: error: To compile ht://Dig, you will need a C++ library. Try installing libstdc++.
So now what? The files are there, in /usr/local/lib: #ll libstd* -rw-r--r-- 1 root sys 6731860 May 28 20:35 libstdc++.a -rwxr-xr-x 1 root sys 1162 May 28 20:35 libstdc++.la lrwxr-xr-x 1 root sys 16 Jul 1 09:47 libstdc++.sl -> libstdc++.sl.4.0 lrwxr-xr-x 1 root sys 16 Jul 1 09:47 libstdc++.sl.4 -> libstdc++.sl.4.0 -r-xr-xr-x 1 root sys 7175312 May 28 20:35 libstdc++.sl.4.0 I messed aroung with /etc/SHLIB_PATH (added /usr/local/lib), but no result. Any suggestions? Jeroen Peereboom Disclaimer ************************************************************************ Aan dit bericht kunnen geen rechten worden ontleend.
