Final results:
compiling with gcc 3.1 succeeds if you set 2 flags: CPPFLAGS and CXXFLAGS
'-Wno-deprecated' because of fstream.h.
compiling wirh gcc 2.95 succeeds without problems.

Running htdig just fails.
- I use the same config file as on HP-UX 10.20.
- I removed all pdf-files...
- All db-files but db.wordlist are larger than the filesystem.
- Rundig -vvv ends with error message: DB2 problem...: unrecognized file
type.
- rundig.log looks fine
- Since the db-files are so large I cannot test further (no webserver on the
UX11 system) (How can they become so large for just a very simple
test-website. On HP-UX10 the db-files are smaller than 30K!, on UX11 larger
than 2GB).

Any suggestions?
- Compile with debugging (how do you do that)
- HP Ansi-C compiler?
- Give it up?

Jeroen Peereboom.

Have you tried running with verbose output enabled (e.g. -vvv) in
order to see what is being indexed? Is the same URL being indexed
over and over? Is htdig indexing outside of the specified URL
limits? Are bogus URLs being created and indexed? Is htdig getting
stuck processing the first URL?

Jim
