Yes, I realise that. The problem is I don't have access to a Debian
system and the contents of that package. The best I was able to do from
the web is browse file listings of package contents, but not see inside
the actual files. As such, I was unable to determine the suitability
of this polish.desc file as a dictionary for the endings algorithm.
The absense of slashes in the file confirms it is unsuitable.

Running "htfuzzy -v endings" should also confirm that it's not building
anything.

The endings algorithm actually ignores anything in the dictionary
that doesn't have a slash, because the whole point of endings is to
do expansions based on the suffix rules identified by the letters
after the slash. So, my recommendation is to build a new dictionary
from the individual ones, by zcat'ing them and sorting. Use whichever
dictionaries you feel are appropriate for your needs, and leave out the
ones you don't want. E.g., to use all of them:

  zcat [ABC].gz imiona-[AB].gz skroty.gz fachowe/*.gz | sort | uniq > polish.0
