Very. It tells us that you have only one installed htdig.conf file on your system (the other two being under the source directory), and that you're indeed modifying the right one. That rules out one reason why htdig doesn't seem to be taking your exclude_urls setting. I think what Jim was getting at is that having multiple config files can frequently cause problems like this when you're not sure you're editing the right one.
