Hi,

I am new to HtDig. HtDig was installed with Red Hat 7.3 and seems to
execute just fine.

I just created a new config file and I am currently testing it.

the search form is at http://www.knx1070.com/search.html

the config file is at http://www.knx1070.com/htdigknx.config.txt

I have several problems with finding the "appropriate" pages.

For example, searching for "drama hour" does not bring up the
"drama.html" page, even though the phrase "knx drama hour" is all
over the page (title/H1/alt/keywords/description/links to the page
from other pages)

the page is indexed though, since searching on a unique string does
bring it up, try "Johnny investigates the strange death of an
insurance client"

similarly, searching for "street smarter" brings up all pages which
have a text link to the "street smarter" page at their footer (and
most pages on the site have these links), instead of the actual
street smarter page.

also, searching on "minus 1" (another drama hour title) brings pages
with the word "means" higher than the drama hour page, which contains
"minus 1". I've made sure that only exact:1 is used, so there is no
spelling/soundex etc.

similarly, searching for "zabba" brings up pages with WSB, Sub,
seebee, sabe, before bringing up the page with "zabba"...???

I've increased the factor for H1, Title, and Keywords, since the
drama.html page is the only page that have "drama hour" in H1, title,
Keywords, and Description, still nothing...

I've added .rm to the "bad extensions" still, a .rm file is found
when searching for "minus 1"

So, obviously I am doing something wrong, the question is what am I
doing wrong?

Thanks,

-avi
