[htdig] "htdig -h" Number is to limit the depth in spidering or not ?

Pardon my english. I have posted many messages but your site do not display it (the mailing list is moderated i suppose).   Is this the command to limit the depth of the spider procedure :   "htdig -c test.conf -vsi -h Number"    where "Number" is the depth of spidering. If i make the number 1 i have 35 pages submitted. With the number 2 i have 250 pages submitted. With 3 i have 600. With 4 i have 1400. With 5 i have 2000. With 6 i have 2400 pages. With 7 2600. Without this option 60000 pages. ...   Or i'm in a error ? Your guide : "-h maxhops Restrict the dig to documents that are at most maxhops links away from the starting document. This only works if -i is also given. "   But i do not understand what is the word "maxhops". I suppose it is the command to limit the spider. ... Or not ? What is it ?   And with htcheck ? "-h" or other options to limit the depth of spidering ? Now i make a search in google.com. ..   I have not found a manual in configuration with examples.
