hi, question about 3.2.05b.
i have just finished installng. problem was that i do not have root rights, and do not have access to gcc etc because my shared hosting server has "jailshell" installed. anyway, i asked the support folks at my hosting company to install everything, and they have done. my paths are like this: /home/gimmick/www/cgi-bin/search/ /home/gimmick/www/cgi-bin/search/bin /home/gimmick/www/cgi-bin/search/db /home/gimmick/www/cgi-bin/search/conf ....etc. after the make install, i go into the htdig.conf and updated some basic config stuff like start_url. now, when i run "rundig", i get this error: ----- /home/gimmick/www/cgi-bin/search/bin/htdig: error while loading shared libraries: libhtnet-3.2.0.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory /home/gimmick/www/cgi-bin/search/bin/htpurge: error while loading shared libraries: libhtnet-3.2.0.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory /home/gimmick/www/cgi-bin/search/bin/htnotify: error while loading shared libraries: libhtnet-3.2.0.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory /home/gimmick/www/cgi-bin/search/bin/htfuzzy: error while loading shared libraries: libfuzzy-3.2.0.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory /home/gimmick/www/cgi-bin/search/bin/htfuzzy: error while loading shared libraries: libfuzzy-3.2.0.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory ------ what am i missing? will htdig latest version not work on shared hosts with no access to gcc etc? i thought that is what the compilation was for? help! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
