That is a GREAT idea!  The biggest factor contributing to any undesirable results with our current search (I've tweaked it as best as I can and as time will allow) is that I can't give weight to sections like you said.  I have the site meticulously divided into directories and subdirectories, keeping the content well organized.  But I sure would like our main content to get precedence over our old news and over our photo galleries.  I haven't found an effective way to do this, even with the title and META factors, things which I have also meticulously syntaxed :\
