Should I > choose a different release? 3.1.6 works fine for me on RHEL v3 for the publically accessible side (2.4 kernel) and on Mandrake 10.1 at home (2.6 kernel). The same executables even! I'd go to 3.2.0 if I could find a way to have version compatability between home and public, but RHEL builds of 3.2 are hard to find and I don't have a build environment on the public server.
