Reading your reply, Gilles, I got this idea:

What about including a "good_extensions" option?
Or, better, a "good_types" option ("text/html", "text/plain" and ignore
all other types). 
My "bad_extensions" is very long now, and I've to add more and more to it
to exclude all the new formats.

Or a generic attribute to map types to parsers:
type_parsers: text/html builtin \
              text/plain bultin \
              application/pdf  programm options
