Ok here is the lay out of the CGI-BIN on my box
>>drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 May 12 10:01 ./
>>drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 4096 May 9 11:04 ../
>>-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 404568 Mar 22 19:19 htsearch*
seems to look ok
the folder it self is this
>>drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 May 12 10:01 cgi-bin/
In my search.html file the path to htsearch is like this:
>><form method="post" action="/cgi-bin/htsearch">
My search.html is in my /home/httpd/html dir and works...
I edited the config files and ran rundig, it worked fine...
Here is the error that I am getting on the web page:
<IN IE5.0>
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed,
or is temporarily unavailable.
<IN Netscape 4.5>
The requested URL /cgi-bin/htsearch was not found on this server.
What other files could have an effect on this..or do I need to change
permissions in my cgi-bin dir. If so...could someone give me an example of
what it should look like.
Like #chmod 700 htsearch or what?
Please help..I am still this |--| close to getting this to work. :)
