School of Seduction helps lonely Parisians
PARIS -- In a city known for romance some Parisians are looking for love lessons. The city's School of Seduction teaches men and women how they too can experience the picturesque kisses in front of the Seine.
Veronique Jullien, the flamboyant 42-year-old founder and head of the school, said, "We teach men to dare."

Smelly tofu breaking the law in Hong Kong
HONG KONG -- "Smelly tofu" has been part of Chinese cuisine for generations, but some communities want it banned from sale in their neighborhoods because of the stench it emits.
One shop owner was fined after Hong Kong's Environmental Protection Department served a summons on her for selling the deep-fried fermented bean curd snack, a failure in compliance with an "air pollution abatement notice."

Bird's nest suspected in blackout of half of Portugal
LISBON, Portugal -- A stork's nest tangled in power lines is suspected to be the source of Portugal's worst blackout in 20 years.
A National Grid spokesman said he saw the remains of the stork and part of its nest near the damaged area. Southern Portugal was without power for about an hour on Tuesday.

Ronstadt admirer arrested
PHOENIX -- A man admitting to an obsession with Linda Ronstadt showed up to watch the singer take the stage in "A Prairie Home Companion," but wound up in the back of a police cruiser instead.
Police arrested Bernard A. Ortiz, 55, Saturday on an outstanding felony warrant outside the Sundome for the Performing Arts in nearby Sun City. When they searched his 1978 Cadillac, they say they found packages, flowers and copies of letters sent to Ronstadt.
