That's pretty cool! How about a Java version? A Java-compatible templating system would accomplish a number of goals: 1. Java developers have some of the worst tools imaginable for web development. HTML::Template would be a big step in the right direction. 3. It would allow "wanna-be" Java shops (e.g.: Those run by buzzword-conscious managers) to start development by "Prototyping" in Perl with the intention (yeah, right!) of eventually migrating to Java. A big win for Perl! 3.
