Roland Weber updated HTTPCLIENT-664:
------------------------------------

    Attachment: 2k7-07-09-VersionInfo.txt

Hi folks,

you may call it overdesigned, but this is what I feel we should have. The patch
applies to HttpCore trunk, HttpClient would follow when we re-synchronize with
the snapshots. Then, the User-Agent interceptor can be changed to use this API,
too.
The patch is prepared for including a timestamp, but that will require Maven
2.1 to work. I didn't test with Maven 2.1, I just found an issue to that
effect: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG-1832. The patch works with Maven
2.0 all right, you just won't get timestamps in the output because that
property is not replaced.

Please let me know what you think.

cheers,
  Roland
