Today I saw an OSX version on a friend's MacBook Pro (I don't know which SVN number, but it still had the old icons). Loading a single equirect image and switching from equirect to rectilinear 90°x90° FOV had only the nadir looking right. all other sides of a theoretical cubeface looked very wrong, while the old preview showed them just right. sorry I can't be more precise.
