For Windows Vista, there is an option under "System Properties" -> "Performance Options" to change the settings of DEP. On my system, it was set to be enable for essential Windows programs only. When I change it to be active for all programs, I sitll don't see it raising any DEP error for hugin. I am running 64bit, SP1, so maybe SP2 is more sensitive.
Seems like I am the only one reporting major issues in not being able to use anything newer than SVN3884 for large projects. Are there others using the latest builds on windows for large projects with no problems?
