hugin has always been able to mix input photos from different 
cameras, lenses and projections, can't you do this in PTGui?

The panotools morph to fit was never implemented in hugin because it 
isn't that great.

Something that Pablo suggested would be to use the control point 
error to create something like nurbs patch to smoothly distort the 
photos nearer to a better fit rather than the exact positions of the 
forced morph to fit.
