This is interesting. I'll mention where this could be usefull in my process... this new feature could kill many birds... I make most pano with a pano head, trying to go as low as I can and not see the tripod.
Stitching this (once bad control points removed) yields a very good precision. But then I need to add the bottom shot, the only handheld shot. So the only one less precise. To have a nice 360, I need to blend it perfectly which has been challenging... but I'm not out of options yet... the comment about using multiple lens to let that one distort is my next try). But in short, if I could add in the bottom shot, ask it to blend it and morph it (and not move the other images as they were well match), this could automate the process and give nice results.
