The mask function introduced in Hugin by Thomas Modes starting from revision 4978 is what you need for this. If you are under windows you could download from [1] the revision 5063 that includes the mask feature. Instead, if you are under linux, you need to compile Hugin from source as described in the wiki pages [2] under the letter "H" for different distributions. If you need a tutorial on how to use the masking function I've made one on flickr [3] for a similar case to your. If you can't use a recent version of Hugin with masking function you could try the method described by Bruno Postle [4] (a little less straightforward but it works).
