I have 2 images of a rooftop. one is of the left corner, one is of the right corner. (Can't seem to add them?)
I want to join them together. I don't really care if they get skewed a lot in the process, in fact, that's the idea. I want to use it as a texture (for a rooftop, obviously). I can find at least 4 equal points manually, and I just want a program that will distort the pictures in such a way that they fit over each other*. However, none of the tools I tried worked. I could set the points manually, but they find 2 distinct sets or something. But I don't want it to be that intelligent. I just want it to follow the points I set, without checking if its a good match. Does anyone know how to do this with hugin or similar, or know some other tool that can do this? *For the record, what I'm asking is not impossible. In google sketchup, you can pick 4 points, and then drag them to where you want them. Sketchup will then rotate and skew the image to follow my points. This way I can do what I asked, and it works pretty well, but, when I then go to combine the textures, I suddenly lose a huge amount of detail. This seems to be a bug in Sketchup, so I'm looking for some image editing software to do this. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hugin and other free panoramic software" group.
