Hi all! We are having quite an interesting problem. We're scanning books fro the library. Books are very old and they are very specific:
There are no inner margins. I mean, the handwritten text of a left page continues on a right page. The requirement is that both pages are perfectly merged into one large page. We're using the Atiz equipment (http://www.atiz.com) and regarding the stitching - there are TWO cameras, each makes an image of the page. Of course, when the left page is captured, a part of the right page is captured, but FROM A DIFFERENT ANGLE. So ... the question is ... is it possible to perfectly stitch both pages into one page. And yet another thing. There is more than 1000 books and each has whooping 900 pages - to be stitched. So in fact, we have 450.000 stitch operations. That's about 449.999 operations too manyx and the whole thing must be automated in some way. How to do this with hugin?
