George and other Mac users,

Currently you are best of by downloading the just released stable 2010.2.0
version.

The 2010.3.0 version contains the new makefilelib structure together with
the new cpfind. Both from gsoc 2010.

Both in the automatic Assistant panel as in the normal manual workflow
process there were quite a lot of both big and small issues.
Thomas modes and myself have been working on these issues.
For the normal manual workflow 95% should "just simply" work incl. cpfind.
The automatic Assistant workflow simply doesn't work for multiple reasons.

The issues in the manual workflow are now corrected as far as I know. These
were just issues caused by changed settings and therefore needed
modifications in the build process.

We still have a nasty one in the Assistant panel. In "pre makefilelib"
bundles the automatic Assistant process was mainly performed by "inside
hugin" code.
The new Assistant panel in combination with the makefilelib structure is
completely tool based via a makefile, the tools being icpfind,
celeste_standalone, cpclean, autooptimize, checkpto and (gnu)make itself.
It now occurs that celeste_standalone for the automatic cloud cp removal
crashes with a bus error. This bus error was already there in the 2 April
svn5102 version (oldest version I still have). It's not clear yet (at leat
not to me) what causes this bus error.

On the positive side: If I disable the celeste option from the Assistant
Panel preferences, the Assistant panels works well. It means that when the
celeste_standalone issue has been fixed, hugin is also ready for release.

Habi reported a good working PTBatchergui. At that time I did not think any
further (happens more often but that aside), but that was the old
PTBatchergui as I had not released a makefilelib PTBatcherGui yet.
And yes: also PTBatcherGui contained numerous little issues and also the
same the big celeste_standalone one.
These issues have now been fixed as well, apart from celeste_standalone.
Also for PTBatcherGui: as soon as the celeste_standalone issue has been
solved a new PTBatcherGui will be released as well.

Finally: The issues in the build and the celeste_standalone issues are not
the result of the new makefilelib and cpfind. As such these new
functionality works fine. Both Florian and Antoine did a nice job
