Where did you download it from? > message that LZW compression can't be used because of patent issues. This message comes from the tiff library. and it is outdated. the LZW patent has expired a few years ago. > But temporary TIFF files are created. Probably uncompressed. an you check? just ask Hugin to keep the remapped images in the stitcher tab. > When creating an output pano in TIFF with LZW compression there is no > problem and a TIFF with LZW compression is created. this is Enblend. Probably the version of Enblend on this install was compiled against a tiff library that does support LZW > Is this warning slowing down the stitching process and is it a bug? technically it is a bug - if the stitcher tab asks for LZW compression, the tools should compress LZW. it is not slowing down the stitching process. it may even speed it up (insignificantly) since the intermediate files do not have to be compressed and then decompressed. but it also eats more disk space. the fix is to rebuild the tiff library with LZW support. I suspect it is a problem of the tiff library in the Hugin SDK. a follow up from this report is to add a feature to the stitcher tab and allow finer grained control of compression. Yuv
