Deleting the 'hugin preferences' file created by a previous version does no good. Renaming the output file does no good either. Actually, prior to the version 3 and 4 releases, I never had to mess with previous 'hugin preferences' files when I installed a newer version in order for the new version to run properly. Some users are reporting that they now need to delete a previous preferences file upon installing versions 3 or 4 although I believe that issue to be due primarily to the newly built-in default control point routine. I shall continue, as time allows, to fiddle with this latest release, but for practical purposes I am back to version 2 for reliability.
