I'm currently thinking about a way to create a test script to go through as many object types and methods as possible to identify any other problem children. But I'd also happily run any prototype plugins or hsi-using scripts you may have come up with here on my system to see if what works your end works here as well. I still haven't heard anything from the Mac front. Maybe scripting isn't typical behaviour among Mac users, but since the branch is set up to build without any manual intervention, maybe an intrepid soul dares compile it on Mac OS. Eventually, once hsi/hpi has made it to mainstream (as I hope it will) they should after all benefit from the same plugins as the rest. Do you know who does the Mac building stuff and would be prepared to give the python_scripting branch a spin? > Also added first Python 3 support. It's working here. Wow, you've gone further than I have! This bit is probably easier on Windows, since Python isn't deeply interwoven with the operating system - you have a neat parcel Python 3.X and can stay within that context. Here on Ubuntu, 2.6 is part of the system, and I'd have to do some figuring out how to prevent everything in the build process to accidentally grab 2.6 stuff when I want to build for 3.X. Well done. I actually started out learning Python 3.X when I got to learn Python, but later on I found that a lot of stuff I was interested in wasn't available yet for 3.X. But 2.6 and 2.7 are quite close to 3.X. I think the Python people would like to move on, but with a huge code base in 2.X and some fundamental differences there's a good deal of intertia.
