Dear all.
In 10 days we can start the application to Googles Summer of Code [1]. In the
past days, I've started the GSOC-Article on the panotools-wiki [2], including a
migration of the old Aplication and Students application (linked from [2]). I'd
like to get some feedback on my basic initial work and also would like to have
the experienced GSoCers from the last years to chime in and edit the relevant
pages on the wiki, so we can collaboratively work on the application.
I only did a quick look and everything looks good. The Blueprints on launchpad
might be brief but it is up to the students to flush out the details. They
should ask questions if something is missing.
I don't see how I can modify a Blueprint. I would add to "Support Large
gigapixels with PSB-files" That Panotools already has functions to read and
write basic PSD/PSB files.
Somewhere between Yuv's first headsup and me picking up some loose ends I've
asked if we'd be able to find some mentors for potential students, if we're
accepted as a mentoring organization. The feedback has been rather subtle, e.g.
I've not read from a potential mentor. Is anyone up for it and could spare some
time during this summer?
I am willing to be a mentor for projects that are more on the panotools side.
Have a nice weekend.
