Sometimes circumstances dictate less than easy/ideal solutions. If multiple, parallel ways of doing things have to be developed to support disparate platforms, that's acceptable as long as it is unobtrusive on other platforms. We've had this kind of situation before, e.g. with the CP generators plug-in architecture that is different on Mac, Windows, and Linux. > On my Kubuntu system, I can just use wxPython from the > plugin. Then let's start releasing this. Users of other platforms will find ways to harness similar power for themselves. > But with all these limitations, I can only say from my personal use of > hsi/hpi that even just the two properly fleshed out plugins I've > written so far (woa and crop_cp) are very useful to me and I use them > often. This is why I think we should not wait any longer, integrate your work into the main codeline, and initiate a release cycle soon. Yuv
