Thank you for your analysis of my gripe. The swallowing of words
continues, as I must admit that you are quite right and my text is too
verbose and partly irrelevant. What happened is that the text was
there from the time I first put hsi/hpi online, and when things moved
on, I modified it to reflect the changed circumstances. My last edit
on the occasion of hsi/hpi moving to default wasn't thorough enough.

I'll try and come up with a succinct explanation of what's relevant in
it. I went on about hsi_PYTHON_wrap.cxx, because I thought there might
be situations where swig wasn't available (at least not swig 2.X) and
this would be the only route.

You've made a good start with the wiki page. Probably best to start
afresh.
