The Solmeta device requires that you put it in calibrate mode, and then twist the unit along all 3-axis twice so that it can record the maximum external field strengths, by recording the changes rather than measuring the static fields created by the camera/head/device. The accuracy and precision even after calibration is not that high 5° is good. Unless you go for some very expensive sensors.
