I don't agree here: as long as the Debian packages use this suggestion, we should keep it in, too. I know that autopano-sift-c is patent encumbered and commercial use requires a license, but it is still in all the repositories. As long as it is available, it should be available to interested users.
We have dropped the dependency of hugin to the suggestion mentioned above, and this should be sufficient in order to prevent installation and usage of autopano-sift-c by new users.
