Hi, I'm getting this memory error trying to align too many images- more than about 8 or 10 and it barfs.
I did do a tiny bit of homework and found this old thread on the subject: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hugin/+bug/717944 But that thread says the bug was fixed, so I just thought I'd mention I'm seeing this problem on the latest stable Windows build of Hugin: 2011.4.0.cf9be9344356. Using the argument --ncores 4 gets me working again with this 18 image set, and my images are 3200x2400. I'm on a Windows machine that has 24 cores and 16Gb of memory with plenty of free memory while I'm running Hugin. As long as I can get past the load errors, Hugin really screams on this machine, but it would be awesome if I could do larger sets on larger images without command line fiddling, knowing that Hugin can hog all the memory and all the cores at once! ;) Is it mainly because cpfind or hugin are still 32-bit executables? If I've left any information you need out, or if I can further help test, I'm happy to. Thanks!
