Hello,
I've been editing the Russian Hugin translation recently. I've done
hg clone ssh://<my_user>@hg.code.sf.net/p/hugin/hugin  hugin
so my Hugin source code tree is up to date.
While working with localization files I've found the following errors:
1) some translated phrases in the generated ru.po do not match the original
English phrases, see message #194 in Lokalize, or 1139 in classical editor;

<https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-WPjjdlWf79M/UjC61nEoKiI/AAAAAAAAA0I/mD_Yz_SaxsY/s1600/hugin0.png>

and this particular English phrase from .pot does not match the English
phrase shown in the program itself

<https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-CF2OgXedEQk/UjC67JrwPPI/AAAAAAAAA0Q/wGarz1zs7B8/s1600/hugin2.png>

2) lots of strings containing valid messages in ru.po are commented out
with '#~ ' and there are untranslated srings in the Hugin interface if you
run the program. If all those '#~ ' are removed manually, those strings
switch to Russian all right but still there are untranslated strings shown
in the running program which are not present in the .pot found in the
source code tree. Re-running extract-messages does not fix the issue.

I've seen this kind of weird generated .pots and commented out .pos in many
programs lately, and Hugin is now in this list as well. Please somebody
check it out and fix this issue in Hugin source code. It's a very annoing
problem which results in untranslated strings in the Hugin GUI and poor
overall translation quality.
Thank you.
