Hello, I typically use Hugin for the common enough purpose of assembling many (>= 50) narrow-angle images into one high-resolution image. My lens isn't perfect however, and the degradation of image quality moving away from center is obvious.
However emblend's strategy by default is obviously not to favor the middle of images and my final outputs routinely end with alternating bands of amazing and inferior areas, with a startling transition from blurred to clarity where an edge abuts a center. This shouldn't happen because I quite consciously include enough overlap to prevent it. Of course by setting masks I can exclude the crap areas manually, but I can't just use the "exclude from all images of this lens" option because there is always _one_ place where I need that corner. Local include strangely fails to override global exclude, and manually setting literally hundreds of masks... well... /sucks/. So I ask: Is there a simple way to have Emblend calculate nearest-image-center hulls and preferentially choose the image nearest a point to blend? -- A list of frequently asked questions is available at: http://wiki.panotools.org/Hugin_FAQ --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hugin and other free panoramic software" group.
