Try running the nm/grep command I (think) I included in the response.
(Run it under bash or sh and cd /usr/lib first)

If that finds anything, try nm -a foo.so | grep flush on the .so files
one by one till you find which one has it (or refine the filename
pattern match...) and link against that.  You could also try removing
the leading _ in case Sun renamed it.  It might not be officially
exported from that library...
