1) Your line: "Then the "hum" was completely gone for two days. Gone totally, no sense of it at all." - Makes sense if "they" turned it off. Which "they" can and do.
2) Your line: "I plan on contacting local utility board and ask some questions!" - Will not get any answers. Catch up on some reading here bud. There are 4 "Hum Busted" posts of mine that explain what's going on. This is serious poop (for want of a better word!) Before you do anything you've got to get your act together on this thing so that "they" can't give you the run around like "they" do everyone else.Do it right and you'll scare the crap out of "them". Just as I am. This is terrorism, I told "them" gut pain, sleepless nights, headaches, etc, is actual bodily harm and that's a criminal offense - But you've got to prove it first. If we can start a trickle of formal complaints through this forum site it will soon turn into a flood. I've got the tools for you to prove it. I've got the global and USA data to prove it. I've got personal testemonials to prove it. Let's go get 'em! ....... Your call. As I tell everyone; I will need you to give me somewhere to send it - An email address is fine. You can use the "Reply to author" to send to just me Wikipedia > Infrasound > Human reaction to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infrasound#Human_reactions_to_infrasound. This BPL junk is extremely technically complex, took me a year to nail the crap down in its entirety. Tou don't need to do that, I've already done it and I'm willing to pass it on to anyone who wants to help themselves.
