Oh, and just to say I am in Scotland and been hearing this episode constantly for 18 weeks and for the most part of 18months, since Feb 2014 but previous to that only a night since about 2012 too ( can't recall exactly as I used to think it was neighbour with washing machine on late at night). I do remember a ying to my partner when we bought a new house less than a mile down the road that I couldn't wait to get some peace at night but it never bothered me to the extent it does now. It is 24/7 now. Moved in Nov 2013 and heard it from end Feb 2014. In contact with Scottish power, water board, gas, had neighbours switch power off too, checked for water leaks... There are two substations near me and I am blaming them hence my liaising with Scottish power who will only act if nuisance can be proved by environmental health, who can't hear it. If I can hear it why not many others. (Scottish power man could hear it as did water board man). It is such a low throb it often feels like I or the floor are vibrating. I hate being in my house. Is it article 5 of European Human rights states the right to undisturbed sleep or peace in your own home??
