The right word here is cynical.

There was an Anna protester on TV wanting to know why Rahul who breaks
laws to travel to UP , goes for days of padyatras , takes the trouble
to hold farmers nukkad meetings on camera , is seen sleeping &
eating with farmers on these trips , obviously to show his great
concern for them , is not able to come to the venue a few KMs from
his home , since the Yuv Raj of Congress is obviously in to politics
at the highest level now ? What prevents him from showing up in front
of cameras on an issue that concerns every Indian & polls show over
85% are with the JLP bill ? Wont it make a pretty picture on the stage
with Anna ? Every TV camera in Delhi is there .

It is clear that far from engaging constructively on this extremely
serious issue with Anna & his people , the Congress has tried every
tick in their bag , including defaming every member of Anna's team
( initially Amar Singh , then Dig Vijay , Kapil Sibbal & Manish Tiwari
made their great contributions here ) in the most virulent, stupid &
demeaning manner ....& finally tried to derail the peaceful protests
by denying him permission . Is hard to digest that a police that was
seen shooting at farmers a few days back , refuses to do any thing
about the Thakerys no matter how provocative , filthy & violent they
are habitually... is really worried about the law & order threat from
a movement where the protesters seem to be total peaceful , where Anna
asks them to protect public property & the man is taken into
"preventive detention " at his home as he intends to break a law &
will be a law & order problem ?

We indeed have the right to be doubly cynical about the way the whole
system works today .
