Somewhat off topic, but does anyone on the list know of a supply for
manzanita wood that might be suitable for use in wind instrument
making? I'm trying to find some pieces and the only sources I find are
selling it as bird perches (which would be thoroughly cracked since
manzanita has a tendency to check badly). I'm trying to find some
pieces that have been properly split and waxed to prevent checking and
that are at least one foot long and 2 inches across and thick. (Those
sizes are possible to find as I do have a few pieces like that.)

If anyone on the list either has some manzanita or knows where to get
pieces like what I describe, please let me know off list.

Best,

Arle
