Oh Pennsic is great! It is the largest of the SCA great wars (usually
around 14,000 people there for the 2nd week.) It's Medieval recreation,
i.e. you need to be in garb the whole time. It takes place at Cooper's
Lake campground north of Pittsburgh, and lasts for 2 weeks, from July 24
thru August 9. The 2nd week is by far the busiest, in terms of stuff
going on both in general and for music.

Here is a url for it: http://www.pennsicwar.org/penn38/

I'll be happy to relay any further info you need if you'd like to email
me off-list...this year will be (I think) my 15th year for attending
Pennsic.

Cheers,
Starr

Just wondering what Pennsic is all about? Recent posts to this list
mentioned it. Would love to know more, location, dates, etc. Thank you.
