Michael,

Just for your information, I understand that is Hurdy Gurdy is the 4th
most written for instrument in French Baroque. So just because the teacher has
not spent the time to do the research doesn't mean he is right. Also, I
believe if you brought him a copy of "Un-Ledded", Lorena McKenna, or Arcade
Fire he might understand that the "commercial" aspect of all instruments is
solely based on what some record producer or manager feels is 100% salable.
Most people are not willing to take a "risk" on something unknown. I mean
look how Slumdog Millionaire, Star Wars, and Rocky Horror turned out to be
such a huge commercial failures....oh that's right they were just treated as
failures before they became huge.

For evidence of HG in the future of Rock just look at the many Celtic Rock
groups that are beginning to spread their influence through the US. I was
told by a bunch of HG admirers that they were at a show and a group they
never heard of before came on and began playing. Before they started the guys
were on their way to get some drinks and they ended up staying and watching
the whole set. The band Eluveitie is now their favorite band and one of
the reasons is the HG.

What this means is that some people are short sighted and just look at what
makes you commercially viable versus what makes you happy. Keep cranking
and someday when the time comes make sure to mail the professor your CD.

By the way you are doing great on your videos. I applaud your devotion to
the HG and your ability.

Scott
