Hi,

unfortunately my soundcard is broken, but Wolfgang showed me this invention
at Chateau d’Ars. By changing the angle of the axle the inclination of the
wheel changes and the melody strings are touched and effected only by the
edge of the wheel (by the rim) after pushing the axle down. By this it is
possible to play overtones (like harmonics) on the melody stings by pushing
the keys.

Nice effect, and I guess we will see some very interesting music coming up
by Valentin Clastrier who owns such a hurdy-gurdy.

Cheers,

Uli
