I find this very effective and like the rhythms. I quite routinely work with 3+ 2+2/8, 3+3+2/8, 3+2+3/8 and similar rhythms. When done right, as they are here, most non-musical listeners don't pick up on the "oddity" and just notice the drive that such non-even meters give to the music.
I think this is a very nice mix and hope to hear more from you. -Arle On Sep 22, 2009, at 8:13 AM, Matthew Williams wrote: > If you want a bit of fun, I've uploaded another original recording > to Soundclick - it's a studio-mixed gurdy dance number in mostly 7- > time! > You can have a listen to 'Pea Race' by clicking 'play hi-fi' to the > right of the pea-green picture here: > http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=650237&songID=8127720 > Reactions are strongly divided amongst the few who've so far heard > this recording, so I'd be most interested in any feedback! > Matt > Beyond Hotmail - see what else you can do with Windows Live.
