I didn't know the Buddha played HG...that's pretty cool! (no, I'm not being serious) On a more serious note regarding the HG recordings page, one approach might be to stuff the names (and links) of legitimate and respected players into there. I did a bit of that a couple of years ago when I inserted references to Patrick Bouffard and Gilles Chabenat. And as for Sting and Polar Express, I think it's worth adding annotations to those (in parentheses) to clarify the inaccuracies (as in "although Sting appeared to be playing a melody line, he was actually just turning the crank" and "the animated Tom Hanks character was shown playing in a way that is physically impossible; the left hand fingers the keys from above in real life"). My two cents. Mitch Gordon Guerneville, CA, US In a message dated 10/13/2010 11:41:39 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time, [email protected] writes:
So, it was you that removed that silly reference to the buddha playing the HG? where the hell did that guy get that from? Yes, that was me. Go read the discussion page about that. I'm afraid I offended the poor sot a bit in taking in out, but that was so crazy I just couldn't let it stand. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hurdygurdy" group.
