Laurent Bitaud's book "La Vielle a Roue: Doigtes et Virtuosite.....Exercices
gradues pour vielles accordees en DO, SOL et RE" is still available.

I thought that I would let everyone know that I recently emailed Mr. Bitaud
about the availability of his book and he says that he still has copies for
sale. They are 15.00 Euro plus shipping. I have not found any on ebay or
through other sources, so this may be your opportunity to get the book while he
still has them.

Although entirely written in French, it is easy to comprehend and the lessons
are easy to follow. It is written for D/G (Re) and G/C (Do/Sol) instruments.
There is also an audio track that demonstrates each lesson as it should be
played, as well as it's variations ( I am not sure if the tape/CD is included
in the price).

For those of you that would like to challenge yourself, this is your book. It
even includes variations that use the thumb for playing, as well as different
coup practice to play with each variation.

For those of you that are just starting but like to stock up on those method
books this is your chance as well. It may be a bit advanced for a beginner but
you can certainly work your way up to it.

You can reach Mr. Bitaud at laurent.bitaud(at)club-internet.fr (switch the (at)
for an @). He only speaks French so you may want to use a translator such as
Babelfish.com to ask him to send you a copy(although babelfish has certainly
come up with some interesting translations in the past I have found it useful
for basic translations).

Regards,

Scott
